The Heart of England has embraced the London 2012 Games as a unique opportunity to inspire and engage its communities, as well as raise its profile both nationally and internationally as a centre of sporting and cultural excellence.
The lead strategic body in the West Midlands is the West Midlands Leadership Group for 2012.
The Leadership Group has just launched a brand new regional plan in response to 2012. The plan outlines five key priority themes for the region:
